Reason 2-7 was formed in Spokane, Wa. - February 1997. Although they have
gone through many transitions, they are still kickin' it as hard as ever...
It all started when two individuals, Brandon & Rob, decided "Hey, let's
start a band!"... The two didn't know much about music but were determined
to make it work. They then picked up a guitarist named Bill and soon came
another guitarist named Dillon. They struggled to find a drummer that
could not only keep a beat but also be as determined as they were. After a
few months of just jammin', they finally came across a drummer who actually
wanted to play guitar. This drummer, Leo, came over to watch them jam.
The drummer they had didn't show so Leo said "Hey, I can play". The rest as
they say is "history"... Soon after the complete formation of the band,
their guitarist, Dillon, had to leave the band for personal reasons. They
tried doing a four piece but the feeling just wasn't there. Not long after,
they picked up young guitarist, Randy, whom I might add really kicks ass.
The band was complete again with a whole new sound. After a year & a half,
Reason 2-7 has played about 75 shows and has played with numerous bands such
as - MalPractice, Humpy, Lopez, Distorted Silence, Cotton Mouth, Silent Rage,
Oil Filter & L.A. Guns, to name a few... Just a few weeks ago, Rob had to
leave the band for financial reasons and Bill had to be let go. This really
put a bind on the band but they were still determined. They picked up
guitarist / vocalist, Tracy (Silent Rage), and once again, had to reinvent
themselves. They went back to a four piece but with Tracy singing and playing
guitar, they seem more confident than ever. They are currently working on
new material and feel they should be ready to play live again real soon, only
this time, harder and more in your face. "God bless rock -n- roll" & long
live REASON 2-7.....
